Kin’s Terrace
1/f, 9 Tsing Fung Street
Tin Hau
(852) 2571 0913

If I remember correctly, this was $380 per person. Advance booking required.

This is the local art critic turned food critic, Lau Kin Wai’s Cantonese private kitchen. It’s located above his Cantonese restaurant Kin’s Kitchen (reviewed in the restaurant section). I’ll keep this short.

The food is good and to justify the price, certain expensive ingredients - shark’s fin, abalone - make an appearance but to be really honest, I much prefer eating downstairs with its more homecooked fare. I think ultimately Cantonese cuisine for me needs a bit of roughness. The private kitchen array of food was a touch too refined for me and I was pining for the hearty touches of the food downstairs instead.
