Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter
(cum marina)

Above: a well-lived in boat in the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter in the "eastern" end.

The Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter is a great picture of the east meeting the west. Both luxuary yachts and Chinese boats berth there. But interesting enough, they seem to each take up one end of the shelter. Sometimes at night, while western style dining and entertaining takes place at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club in the "western" end, in the eastern section, there is mahjong playing, a favorite pastime for many locals.

It is located within walking distance from the Causeway Bay MTR station, cutting through a corner of the Victoria Park.
