The Show on the Road
Bamboo Scaffolding Workers

Above: bamboo scaffolding workers in Causeway Bay.

When it comes to a "happening" place, Hong Kong is more than a 3-ring circus. Nothing slows the pace. Often times you can catch a show on the road free of charge. Here's one in buzzling Causeway Bay.

In mid-air two bamboo scaffolding workers are working on a neon sign while a third one is talking on the cell phone - probably setting up another show down the road, so to speak. But you might be the only audience since the locals are used to it and won't miss a beat.

One more tip: the best show to catch is when they disassemble. Just be sure to stand back to avoid becoming part of the cast!
