One
of the annual international events is the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon.
There is the marathon, the half-marathon, and the 10Km race. This year
(2006), it is held on Sunday, Feb 12. The organizers are limiting the total number
of participants to 35,000. If you are just visiting Hong Kong, then you would
want to pay attention to the closure of roads and tunnels so that you won't be
delayed or get stuck on your way to the airport - after all there will be 35,000
people running around! This is especially true if you will need to go through
the Western Harbour Tunnel (southbound), which will be closed till 2 p.m. So the
best bet will be to take the Airport Express. The starting line will be
on Nathan Road in Tsim
