If you have a sweet tooth. there are plenty of desserts you can try in Hong Kong. Here is a list of them:

  • steamed egg / milk custard ("dunn daan / dunn nai" in Cantonese)
  • bean curd jello ("dao fu fa" in Cantonese)
  • sweet dumplings ("tong yuen" in Cantonese)
  • seasame soup
  • almond soup
  • walnut soup
  • peanut soup
  • egg tarts (not totally local, but too yummy to leave out!)
