Yum Yum 'cheung fan'

Hong Kong Food Adventure Video

Although transliterated as 'intestine pasta', I have to disappoint you that 'cheung fan' does not contain any body parts. So the fear factor is pretty much zero.

The plain cheung fan seen here doesn't have anything except the sauces and sesame for topping. But the sauces make it yummy, especially the peanut butter sauce. There are other kinds that have meat or seafood rolled up inside. But the plain one is a typical quick breakfast food, available at some 'cha chaan teng' (small 'tea restaurants') or Cantonese breakfast congee restaurants. Nowadays even some convenient stores carry them. But they are usually not as fresh as the rest.
