Ximending is a must-go attraction in Taipei. Made up of a few city blocks of shops and restaurants of all kinds, it buzzes with people and activities, popular even among the locals. It's pretty much a pedestrians only area.

It's easily accessible by the Taipei Metro subway train. Just get off at the Ximen station of the Bannan line. Take exit 6 and you'll see the area immediately on your right once you're above ground.
